Collecting data and making graphs

This week we have been busy collecting data on a variety of topics and learning how to create 3 types of graphs including bar graph, picto-graph and picture graph. The children are learning how to interpret the graphs by sharing what they see and what our collected data shows them. We are using words such as more and less, most and fewest, and equal as we analyze our data. The children are already using their math journals to record some of what they notice as they respond to journal prompts about our graphs. Everyone has been involved and engaged in this math work this week!
